At the very least, this series seems ... somewhat believable. The main character is a little too easy to adapt to his situation, but the reactions of the historical cast are acceptable. Better yet, there isn't a lot of fan-service. In fact, the only girl we see so far is Kichou, Nobunaga's wife-to-be. And it seems she has some backbone, after threatening her kidnappers with the mosquito spray she got from Nobunaga.
On the flip side, there's CGI... I'm not sure how I feel about that. A show like Sidonia no Kishi proves that CGI can work alright, but that being said, CGI has its flaws. Although I didn't like Nobunaga Concerto's CGI at first, it's somewhat bearable and not entirely bad.
All in all, I'm excited to see more conflict and politicking. This series shows promise, definitely worth a watch. Hopefully it'll live up to expectations.
The Good
- No fan-service
- Serious plot, believable cast
The Bad
- CGI
