Overall, a little disappointed at first, but I warmed up to it half-way through.
The Bad:
- Cold Open: Ferrets with lasers assaulting a mage, guardian, and assassin? Doesn't exactly make for the most epic of openings... I think the cold open start was squandered here.
- Opening: I'm also pretty disappointed with the opening theme. Fairly generic scenes accompanied by some crappy accented rap.
The Good:
- Backgrounds: Lush, vivid foliage with ancient ruins. Pleasing to the eye, to say the least.
- Akatsuki: She's cute and fulfills the moe quota for this anime. Better yet, this is the same voice actor who did the legendary Kyuubey.
- Ending: Because it has more Akatsuki.
Frankly, this has potential. However, they'll have to seriously kick up the action and drama, otherwise it'll be nothing to write him about.
